Where is the Outrage?…
The opioid crisis has only increased during the world’s pandemic crisis. Many in recovery have been isolated into dark corners and relapses have increased. We continue to lose too many while those that love them work to change the systemic challenges that have contributed to the opioid crisis. We lose people every day, while too many would prefer to ignore the crisis that has been before us for decades.
New Project!
We are, of course, still accepting requests for memorial portraits.
People In Progress
We believe in recovery and the process of recovery. We understand that there are many paths into substance use disorder and we believe there are multiple paths out of it. We support each and every path that allows people to find healthy minds, spirits and bodies. We would like to partner with individuals who are in recovery – whether it is one week or 10 years or even more! Anne Marie will paint three portraits of each person. One during active use, one during early recovery, and one during long term recovery. We are absolutely willing to be flexible with the moments that are depicted – the ultimate goal is to give an artists’ depiction of the journey towards recovery. Please use the form below to let us know you are willing to participate in our People In Progress project. Just put “People In Progress” in the subject line. We look forward to hearing from you!
